Depart from your hotel in the morning to visit the Anatolian Civilizations Museum in the Citadel, housing an extensive display from the ancient civilizations of Asia Minor from The Stone Age, Neolithic and Bronze Ages such as Catalhöyük and Bogazköy settlements. Later, you'll visit also The Mausoleum of Atatürk where the founder of the Turkish Republic rests in peace. Return back to the hotel. End of the services. (PS: This tour is run with a group having a minimum of 4 participants and only in the AM. This tour doesn't run on Mondays).
Early departure from your hotel and drive to Bogazköy (about 2,5 hours) to visit the capitol of the Hittites, including the Lion's Gate, Tunnel, King's Gate, Grand Temple and the Citadel. You'll visit also Yazilikaya site which was an open-air Hittite sanctuary with great reliefs carved into the rocks. Lunch will be served in a small restaurant in the village. Drive back to Ankara to your hotel. End of the services. (L) (PS: This tour is run with a group on Saturdays only, and with a minimum of 4 participants).
Depart in the morning from the hotel in Ankara to visit The Anatolian Civilizations Museum in the Citadel, one of the best history museums in Turkey where numerous findings dating as far back as the Stone Age are exhibited; The Mausoleum of Atatürk where the founder of modern Turkey is buried. Lunch and depart for Cappadocia around Salt Lake. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia. (L-D)
After breakfast, visit this unique region; the underground city of Kaymakli built by early Christians escaping from persecutions; Uçhisar valley, a natural rock citadel in the region. Lunch during your visits. Visit the Göreme Open Air Museum famous for its rock churches decorated with Byzantine frescoes; visit also Çavusin Village and Pasabag Valley with its typical and unusual formations of "Fairy Chimneys"; and finally the Avanos Village famous for its pottery and handicrafts. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia. (B-L-D)
After breakfast, depart from your hotel to visit Ürgüp and Ortahisar villages, then Agzikarahan Caravanserai built in the 13th century by Seljuks for trade caravans traveling on the ancient Silk Road. Lunch on the way to Ankara, and arrival to the city. End of the services. (B-L) (PS: This tour is run with a group having a minimum of 4 participants and only on Sundays).
