Arrive at Istanbul Airport, meet our staff and transfer to your hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure. Dinner at guests' expense.
After breakfast at the hotel, a full day excursion in Istanbul including the Hagia Sophia Church with its Byzantine mosaics; the Blue Mosque famous for its interior tiles; the Byzantine Hippodrome where horses and chariots raced once upon a time; the Topkapi Palace, residence of the Ottoman Sultans for about 400 years; and finally the Grand Bazaar with more than 3,000 shops. Overnight in Istanbul. (B)
After breakfast, early departure for Gallipoli Peninsula (about 4,5 hours driving) to visit World War I battlefields, cemetaries and memorials; Anzac Cove, Nek, Conk Bair, Lone Pine, 57th regiment, and the War museum. Take a ferry accross the Dardanelles Strait for Canakkale city. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. (B-D)
Breakfast at hotel and early departure to visit the legendary Troy, city of Priam and Hector, including a reconstructed wooden horse. After the visit, transfer back to Istanbul (about 5,5 hours). End of the services. (B)

Please note: This tour is a Guaranteed Departure Tour run from Istanbul on certain dates only between April - October. Arrival at Istanbul can be arranged before the day of departure (we can arrange extra nights in Istanbul at extra cost) but it's important that clients depart for Gallipoli early morning of the departure date to join the group. Order of the visits may be changed for the convenience of the tour. Depending on the seasonal occupancies Canakkale stay may be swapped to Guzelyali town. Istanbul - Canakkale track is a long drive. This tour operates in English with a minimum of 4 participants, in case of a lack of this number, the tour will not operate. We use four star (first class) category hotels during the regular tours.
