In the morning, pick-up from your hotel and start your half day city tour of Izmir including the Roman Agora, which was used as a market place during the Roman rule of the city; Archaeological museum, which houses several Hellenistic and Roman findings from Izmir and surrounding area, including roman mosaics, sarcophagi and statues; Mount Pagos, known as Kadifekale, has an impressive fortress on the hilltop controlling the city and offering a great view. A final visit will be made to the historic Elevator to enjoy another great view of Izmir. Return to your hotel. End of the services.
Pick-up from your hotel or airport and drive to Selcuk (about 1 hour) to visit the Shrine of Virgin Mary, where she is believed to spent her last days. Proceed to Ephesus site to see the ancient fountains, temples, library, agora, great theater, Roman baths, gymnasiums and so on. After lunch, visit the Archeological Museum and the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. Drive back to Izmir to your hotel or airport. End of the services. (L)
Pick-up from your hotel and drive to Pergamon (about 1 hour) to visit the Acropolis where you'll see the Temple of Athena, the library, Royal Palaces, Temple of Trojan, the theater, Temple of Dionysos, Altar of Zeus and so on. Then visit the Asclepion, the most famous ancient medical center in Anatolia. Lunch and drive back to Izmir to your hotel. End of the services. (L)
Pick-up from your hotel and drive to Sardis (about 1,5 hour), ancient capital of ancient Lydia, where you'll see the significant ruins of the city such as the great Temple of Artemis, the golden river Pactalos, the Persian Royal Road, the reconstructed Synagogue, and the Gymnasium. Drive back to Izmir and visit the Old Elevator or Beth Israel synagogue, then back to your hotel. End of the services. (L)
Pick-up from your hotel or airport in the morning and drive to Priene (about 1,5 hour), a well planned city of the ancient world dominating today's cotton lands. Visit the theater, Temple of Athena, agora, and the Altar of Zeus and Cybele. Proceed to Miletus, one of the principal Ionian cities and home of Thales, where you'll visit the great theater with a Byzantine Fortress built on top of it, agora, the harbor, fountains, and Faustina Baths. Then continue to Dydima and visit the great Temple of Apollo which was the center of oracles for many centuries. Drive back to Izmir to your hotel or airport. End of the services. (L)
Early departure from your hotel and drive to Pamukkale (about 2,5 hours) which is a spectacular site. See the wonderful calcium formations of the travertine filled with thermal water. Visit the ancient Greco-Roman city of Hierapolis, its largest Necropolis in Asia Minor, baths, great theater, temples, and streets. Drive back to Izmir to your hotel in the late afternoon. Please note: This daily excursions are a Guaranteed Departure Tour and run any day of the week. Some of them depart only from the hotels in Izmir, and some of them also departs from the airport at your wish. If you want to depart from Kusadasi, then you should consider the private tours section. For the regular group tours we require at least 4 people, otherwise the tour will not operate or you should consider it on private basis. Order of the visits may be changed for the convenience of the tour. Izmir Arcaheological museum is closed on Mondays, on this specific day it will be substituted with another museum or site depending on the convenience of the program and schedule. All tours include pick-up & drop-off from/to hotels, A/C car/van/bus depending on the size of the group, English speaking licensed tour guide. Beverages are excluded during meals. Half day Izmir tour doesn't include any meals.
